It’s hard to feel comfortable trusting someone with your brand’s voice. You know it intimately, and I’m a newbie.
But words are my expertise. So I’ll take time to familiarize myself with your brand’s voice through the copywriting brief, our kickoff, and your previous content.
Plus, I include 2 rounds of revisions with my services. So we can really get your brand voice just right!

SEO Blog Copywriting Questions
-
Blog writing can vary a lot. But I’ll put together a custom proposal so you know exactly how much the work will cost after our consultation.
When I do this, I consider:
How many blog posts are needed
The length of each blog post
How much research is involved
If brand voice guidelines are needed
How much SEO keyword research is needed
The project deadline
-
You could.
AI is convenient and cheap (or free depending on the platform you use).
And there are loads of writers on content mill platforms who would be willing to write blog posts for you for $10. And if that’s all you can afford right now, then do what you need to.
But how likely are content mill writers or AI going to write blogs and articles that develop your brand, engage readers, or turn you into a thought leader?
How likely are content mill writers or AI going to write blogs expertly using copywriting & SEO best practices, keyword research, and search intent?
AI can’t provide a strategy or the personal touch of a human copywriter. A human copywriter can understand your unique woman-led business and what makes you stand out from your competition.
Content mill writers won’t take the time to use a variety of expert strategies to craft writing tailored to your brand to build stories to resonate with your audience and drive results or sales.

I do this part of the process a bit differently than other copywriters because your readers want to hear from YOU. They want to learn from your unique experiences and expertise. They don’t want just a bunch of regurgitated facts from Google.
So for each blog, I’ll ask you to take 10-20 minutes and send me your thoughts in an email or using a voice-to-text app.
These thoughts can include stories, common threads, any issues, or other ideas you have about the topic. Keep it conversational, like you’re talking to a friend about the topic.
Your thoughts DO NOT have to be organized or even grammatically correct! I’ll take care of all that on my end.
The whole point is to capture your expertise and passion, bottle it up, and put it into a blog post your target audience will connect with.
So I’ll take what you send, organize it, add in research and SEO, polish it all up, and create a final blog that you’ll LOVE and feature YOU throughout the writing.

Paid ads have their place.
But a blog has more value in the long term since it’s a one-time, evergreen investment.
With blog copywriting, you pay once for the post. But it will keep working for you so long as the topic stays relevant to your target market.
Blog copywriting not only provides you with content for your social media channels and email list, but it also continues to generate traffic and leads.
Think of it this way: Blogs are like a marathon runner that just keeps going and going for the long term. Ads are a sprint and only continue to work so long as you keep adding in money.
-
Sure! I could write you an amazing test blog to see how it goes. This allows us both to see if we’re a good fit for each other before committing to longer terms.
But keep in mind that SEO blog writing is a superpower that works best with a long-game strategy using keywords and consistent posting.
Content Marketing Plan Questions
-
Your content marketing strategy is the big overview of your business plan for content marketing across various marketing channels. Marketing strategies include a clear definition of your target audience, your business goals and objectives, content themes or pillars, and establishing your unique value proposition.
A content marketing plan goes into the more practical part of your marketing strategy. It’s a calendar filled with topic ideas generated through keyword research and analysis so you know what to write about. And this all goes back to support your overall marketing strategy for your woman-owned business.
Think of the content marketing strategy as the “why” and the content marketing plan as the “how.”

I have a 6-step process for keyword research I use as a website content writer for moms and women. I’ll explain it in more detail when we start our project, but here is a general outline:
Create a list of relevant keywords based on research from your website and target market.
Brainstorm medium and long-tail keyword phrases that connect to each topic.
Compile a list of search terms for the keywords in steps 1 & 2.
Conduct competitor keyword analysis using Ubersuggest.
Filter the keywords to analyze search volume and competition.
Put the keywords into a content calendar, creating content clusters with a good mix of high and low-competition keywords.
-
Your content calendar is developed using in-depth keyword research and analysis.
The keywords most effective for increasing your traffic will then be featured in the blog post titles that we’ll use in your calendar. Each content title will include primary and secondary keyword phrases.
I’ll also include search intent results based on top-ranking SERPs (search engine results pages) so you can format your content based on what consumers are looking for.
For example, if they’re looking for answers to questions, a how-to guide will be better than a thought piece. But if they’re searching to buy, then a comparison of products will work better than a how-to guide.
You’ll have at least 6 months' worth of topics and titles that can be published every week – or at your chosen frequency. It’s all designed to increase your website’s organic search traffic.
-
I usually recommend you fix any SEO issues you have on your website once you have your content marketing strategy.
You can do this yourself by running a free website audit on Ubersuggest or other SEO sites. Or you can have me take care of it for you. You can find more information about website audits here.
But please know, if I notice any issues while creating your content marketing plan, I’ll let you know!
You want these SEO issues solved first so that you have a strong foundation to begin using your content marketing calendar and get maximum results.
Once you’re ready to begin, just start writing and publishing content based on the titles in your content calendar. Make sure to follow the content writing best practices guidelines I provided in your strategy document. It’s a step-by-step guide on how to structure your content for the best SEO results.
If you don’t want to write the content yourself, you can use my SEO Blog Copywriting Services, and I can take care of your content writing for you!
